It appears that someone or a couple of people bought some clothes and other things at Target. These items were not on my registry, but now they have appeared there as purchased items. I am not complaing, people can buy me whatever they want. I didn't register for clothes and such because I assumed people might buy stuff and I wasn't going to be a complete control freak telling people what clothes to buy.
Anyway, I just thought it was strange that whoever bought this stuff was able to add it to my registry. Or when they checked out if they scanned the items and my registry sheet at the cash resgister does it automatically do that? I was just confused. Did anyone else have this happen?
Re: Target registry - someone else can add stuff?
Yes.
The person buying the gifts probably didn't even realize it. They likely had the cashier scan your registry bar code and upon check out it was all added. I had this happen with my my wedding and baby registries.
Oh okay. It didn't ever happen with my wedding registry, so I didn't know it was possible. It's fine that it works that way, I just thought maybe it was a mistake and stuff accidentally got added to the wrong registry or something.
All this I had the same thing happen!!
Haha! Now there's an idea
Now that is friggin' hysterical!
OP: It will help you with returns or exchanges though if it is shown as purchased on your registry you will be able to return, for credit, or exchange it without the receipt, at least in my case that is what happened.
Well now I want to try it! Who has a registry they want to donate to this research?
Yes, that is my understanding as well. If the items are on your registry they can be returned w/out a reciept and it doesn't get counted toward their stupid return policy of only $70 worth of returns w/out a reciept w/in one calendar year.
