First post-in need of support

Hello! I'm new here.

TTC - 8 unsuccessful natural attempts. Testing shows my results are good. DHs count is low from varicoceles. Didn't want him to have to attempt surgery so...

First IUI was today. A lot more painful than I expected.  2ww begins

 Just thought I'd put this out there...the waiting and the whole process have been harder than I thought it would be...I could use all the support and wishes I can get!!

    Welcome! I don't have any experience with IUI's, but I know there are some ladies who post here that do. Good luck, and feel free to post. This board is full of helpful women!

    We're at the semi-beginning stages of IF and will most likely be doing IUI soon.  I don't really have any advice, but just wanted to wish you well!  I hope your IUI was successful!

    No experience with IUI, but wanted to say Welcome!

    I'm sorry you had an unpleasant IUI experience.  Sadly, I've had quite a few and never had any trouble other than a little spotting after one.  I hope this is all that you need.

    How much would you say is a little spotting? It's more than I expected and my Drs office is closed so too late to call to ask today. She had to use a tenaculum which I guess is what's making it worse.

    Me:35, 5 major abdominal surgeries for Ulcerative colitis, failed j pouch, perm. Ileostomy DX-DOR & Tubal abnormalities/Extensive Adhesions from earlier surgeries.latest fsh -26 :(

    IVF 1- March 2012 Antagonist Protocol; BCP until March 3; AFC this cycle is 10 (Hooray); Start stims on March 9; ER on March 19- 2R; 2T (1 perfect 8 cell, 1 scrappy 3 cell); tubal infection from ER-hospitalized. Doomed! BFN

    Essure Procedure to treat bilateral hydrosalpinx; June 2012, wait 3 months for confirmation test.

    IVF2 (Egg Banking)-letrozole/antagonist cycle; June/July 2012 225iu merional + cetrotide; slow responder, Ovulated before ER. Unbelievable. Canceled remaining cycles with my eggs

    DE IVF in Brno, Czech. Approx. ET on Oct 6 CANCELLED-Essure didn't close both tubes-test again in 3 months

    IVF3-DE IVF ET on Dec 9, 2012 (decided to roll the dice no matter what!)

    2 perfect HB transferred; 8dp5dt beta:36; 10dp5dt beta 15; chemical pregnancy.

    Thanks everyone!

    I know I should consider myself lucky-a lot of couples have a much harder time. I'm just praying today's iui did it and we don't have to go down those roads. (I really don't do well with doctors...but it'll all be worth it.)

    Wrapping my head around the idea that we're even going through fertility treatments has been hard - but your wishes really help :)

    I have had an IUI, I had to do 2 days, did you or no?

    My IUI wasnt painful, it was very quick and pretty painless? 

    was yours done by the dr or nurse?

    2ww is tough, honestly I didnt think it worked this time and my husband didnt either, usually he is the cheerleader and i am debbie downer!!!! its so hard being positive when I had so many negative pregs test or a m/c... I did get a pos preg test-I am still shocked!

    I waited for the blood draw, I stopped testing early a year ago bec I hated being upset with all the negatives so I would either wait for my period or the blood test....

    IF itself sucks, its an emotional roller coaster!

    GL and the 2 ww is so tough,  take it easy adn try to relax!

    Congrats and best wishes!

    I just did 1. My gyn did it herself, timed based on opk and ultrasound.  She seemed to have a bit of trouble.
