Britax B-safe with Uppababy stroller

Hello All:

My wife and I recieved the Britax B-safe car seat as a gift, which we really like. The problem is, out of all the strollers we have tested, the Uppababy Vista is the one we love. Great storage, handling and ease of use, plus it fits in the trunk of my wife's Mini which we couldn't really fine in any other stroller. I called Uppababy to ask if any of their current adapters will work with the B-safe, which they said that they didn't (I don't think they could legally tell me yes or no). It seems that Britax doesn't really allow other companies to make adapters for their car seats, they want you to buy one of their strollers.. My question is, has anyone been able to find an adapter which can also be used for the Britax car seat?  Or been able to modify an adapter to work?

Britax doesn't have anything to do with why manufacturers don't make adapters. They don't have to give permission. The stroller companies do it after they test it id they believe it will be cost effective. I would venture to guess that most people don't get a Britax infant car seat if they don't have a Britax stroller. It's just not the #1 choice for most. Plus, the seat hasn't been out long enough to test. It will be available this summer for the Bugaboo strollers, but not UPPAbaby yet. I'm sure next year it'll be available for the Vista if the sales of the car seat are strong for non britax users.

I have the B-safe and had the same issue with getting an adapter for my BOB.  I ended up buying the Chicco adapter and the B-safe fit fine with it.   If you can I would suggest going to the store and trying it out yourself.

Also have you checked out the B-ready stroller?  I personally don't have any experience with it but I hear its similar to the Uppababy.  I have the b-agile and love the ease of use with the b-safe as a travel system.

The B Ready stroller is the exact same stroller as the UBV, but the bassinet is purchased separately. I actually prefer the B Ready over the UBV, as I've used both at my job (I'm a nanny) and the UBV is very cumbersome as a double stroller with limited seat configurations. The B Safe car seat clicks right into the B Ready stroller frame, no adapter necessary.
