OB Office Rant

I enjoy my OB, but the office is so f*&@#ing stupid.  The doctor is out of town this week.  I always see her on Thursdays.  I was told I could see one of her associates this week.  So I pull out the card they gave me to confirm the time for tomorrow's appt- but the date says Monday?  Wha?  I call, and sure enough, the ding-dongs in the office scheduled me to see Dr. Associate on Monday 6/25- a mere 4 days after I saw my regular OB.  Why on earth does that make sense, idiots?  My husband and I were both standing there when she made the appointment, she didn't say anything about the appt being on Monday.  So I ask, is there anyone I can see on campus tomorrow or Friday?  NO.  There is no one.  Not even for a 39 weeks pregnant woman.  I'd have to drag my a$$ way, way downtown, and it ain't happening.  Hell no.  I'll just skip the OB this week.  Whatever.  If they don't care, I don't care.  I would say this sort of thing surprises me, but I work for this medical center, so I know how generally dumb everyone who works here is.

Ugh! That's so annoying. I am always irritated by the fact that when I check out at the OB they make my next appt for me without even asking if the date and time are ok. I have to approach the desk and say something first or wait until they give me the card and then correct them. If I don't do that they just give me a time. I guess a lot of women who go to that office don't work or maybe have such flexible schedules that it doesn't matter when the appt is.
