What's the deal people? Is it really that bad (Merm lady)?
Am I the only one who doesn't think this is weird and does it often. Of course, it's totally dependent upon what I'm wearing though.
Also, if you've read the Bradley books - he strongly advises PG's to do this.
Re: Going Commando = a Sin?
I am not wearing underwear. ?In fact, I've only worn panties three times since I got knocked up.
?
Happy??
I only go commando at night.
I have never read those books...why is that recommended?
?
I'm just well contained?
?
I've done Bradley and I've never heard that before.
Although I do go commando often. Panties have become very tight around the babys head.
I like my big girl panties

I've only read "Husband-Coached Childbirth" so far and he doesn't go into great detail about it but it has something to do with tearing I believe. Basically, because we keep down there all covered up and (TMI) sometimes damp, the skin keeps very delicate and more prone to tear. Whereas if you have it "airy" all the time, it's far better.
(Please someone correct me if I'm wrong on this)

Yeah, I'm not believing that theory. I know not to wash your lady bits with soap because that will dry out your skin which could cause tearing. At least if your, um, moist down there it's keeping your skin soft and lubricated more likely to not tear.
I'm looking forward to reading more of his books because I'm hoping he goes into further detail about this. Seriously, he mentions it in almost every chapter in H-C Childbirth.
