Front-facing in BOB stroller - when to make the switch?

I am wondering when we should switch from having baby in the carseat adapter in our BOB stroller, facing us, to having him in the regular BOB facing out? The instructions/website says 8 weeks min. in the carseat so we tried having him face out, he didnt last that long and started whining 15 mins into our walk. Suggestions? For reference: LO is 14 lbs.

  • This is what happened to us the other day.  She hated it!  I would just keep her in the other way and maybe try to switch once a week until she feels comfortable.

  • If your just going for walks, I would keep him in his infant seat for a little while longer. Try forward facing him in a couple weeks.
  • We haven't tried yet, but with DD#1, we did it when she felt comfortable.  DD#2 isn't very bendy yet and I don't think she'd be very comfortable.  But if she was, I'd do it now.  They are really supported with the harness in the BOB and the seat reclines.  So...

  • We have never put DD in a car seat in the stroller.  We have always had her lay flat in the stroller.  As long as he is happy, I see no reason why you cant keep trying.

  • I loved looking at DS in the carseat and interacting with him, so I didn't do it until much much later, but I would probably wait until they have better trunk support before switching.

This, DD hates being in the carseat in the BOB but just seems too little to be front facing still to me.
