Finally getting somewhere.....

Hi Ladies -

First off - HELLO! I've been pretty much MIA for the past few weeks. Work has been insane and on top of that - the day we went in forour IVF consult (June 1).... I got a call from my OB that my pap came back irregular. So on top of all the other IF stuff I had to squeeze in a culpoloscopy and then wait for the results.

Finally got the results in yesterday - and while it turns out I still have some low grade abnormal cells - and need to go back in 4 months and be monitored closely I did get the green light to move ahead  with IVF.

So this morning I got my protocol (Follitism, Ganirelex).... and will start with shots as soon as I get my next period (late next week.)

This should be an interesting experience seeing as I've never even done an IUI or had any type of injectable.....

DH and I are SOOOOO excited though! We've finally arrived at the start line and can return to dreaming of a nursery and little one.

Until we start - we'll be packing our weekends with our favorite adult activities (wineries, bars - suishi, ya know everything I hope to not have for another 9 months!)

Sooo - any cycle buddy's out there?

I wish I could be a cycle buddy but I just had my retrieval last Friday and my transfer got postponed til August due to OHSS.  We also skipped IUI and went straight to IVF and I'm very happy with the decision.

Well be real close - I always get my period on the 8th or 9th but got it early in June - if I go back to that pattern we may be spot on!

Sounds like you have a good plan in place!  Sorry to hear about the abnormal pap. Hope everything continues to ok! Enjoy your pre- IVF activities with your DH!
