Please give me even more reasons to hate it, because apparently I don't hate it enough to keep it from coming up in conversation... he hasn't suggested much, so he thinks that his name suggestions should be given more weight than mine.
I'm tempted to give the searching a rest for a month or so and come back to it later, this is getting frustrating.
So... thoughts on Clyde? (or better yet, flame it to a crisp so I have something good to read to him later)
Re: DH wants to name our son Clyde
When I hear Clyde I think of Clyde Frog from South Park.... Cartman's doll that he had tea parties with and that was later murdered by another of Cartman's dolls.
Hmmm...it's not a name that I would use, although I do have a really nice uncle whose name is Clyde. In it's defense it does seem to pair up with Wyatt nicely. You don't seem to like it though.
Might I suggest: Clark, Jack, Keith, Warren, or Leon?
Clyde's NMS, but it's not awful either and makes a decent sibset with Wyatt. They both have a cowboy vibe, which may or may not represent your naming style. My mind immediately went to "Bonnie and Clyde" regardless. I'm a fan of monosyllabic boy names, though. Other suggestions along the same lines: Blake, Clint, Clive (Clive Owen's a hottie!), Grant, Reid.
I think Graham Black sounds cool.
How about these sibset names:
Wyatt and Asher
Wyatt and Jesse
Wyatt and Joshua
Wyatt and Oliver
Wyatt and Daniel
Wyatt and Thomas --- whoops, I just saw your son's middle name! Take that as confirmation that Wyatt Thomas sounds awesome together lol
Clyde the orangutan from the movie Every Which Way But Loose. Right turn, Clyde??
My first thought is "As in Bonnie and...?"
Plus, I just can't picture a doctor or lawyer named Clyde.
A definite NO for Clyde. I thought Bonnie and Clyde!
What about Travis? Or I like PP's suggestion of Clay. Those would both work great with Wyatt.

This. Or an old bloodhound who lays around the farm...
My first thought is the basketball player Clyde Drexler, "Clyde the Glide."
Frankly, Clyde seems very compatible with Wyatt. Same country vibe, both share a Y (and not an unnecessary Y!) It's hard for me to pick a better cowboy name because they are all nms, sorry.
OMG- my DH comes up with the most bizarre suggestions, too. Clyde reminds me of an old man, but I also have a good friend whose last name is Clyde, and I'm not a huge fan of last names as first names.
That's actually what my uncle does complete with overalls. Nothing wrong with that.
LAWL.
My first car's name was Clyde.
