The past few days I've been ravenously hungry all the time. I'm trying to eat well, but man it's tough. I've got the munchies... bad! Baby girl must be in a growth spurt. :-)
Yup, my appetite increased as well. Baby is putting on fat finally and gearing up. This is where the weight will start to add up quickly on most pregnant women because the baby is finally putting on more weight.
I just remind myself that I'm burning calories when sitting still since I'm growing a person. It makes me feel better when I eat that ice cream at night.
I had a bagel on my way to work and then a banana as my snack. I ate a salad for lunch (no protein) with blueberries / strawberries for dessert. Normally that would sustain me until my yogurt a couple hours later. Not now. I just wolfed down pop tarts - time to bring better snacks (almonds, cheese, peanut butter crackers)! I definitely don't want to rely on pastry to get me through!
i'm doing my best to keep it healthy, but i'm ravenous these days.
DH and FIL (both paramedics) have suggested that i eat small meals but lots of them throughout the day. nibbling here and there is actually better to keep the weight gain limited but still keep you full and healthy. it's great in theory, but it's really hard to keep from wolfing down everything in sight.
today has been a day of a bowl and a half of cereal and milk, three coconut curry spring rolls, four of the leftover stuffed shells from dinner (and i'm tempted to get more), and a big bottle of vitamin water. and it's barely past noon.

I'm so with you on this one. My boys gained almost a half a pound each this week. Explains a lot. I can stop stuffing my face and I've still lost weight again. But hey they are growing great.

I've definitely been hungrier than rest of the pregnancy in the past week or so. Blah. Of course the healthy things that I try to eat first are not that filling (apples, whatever) and I end up making Triscuits and cheese or something. Eep.
You know what I DO really like that's reasonably healthy and is filling?
Craisins Trail Mix - I get the cranberry & chocolate one (ok, so the chocolate bits are not good for you, but whatever). It's got dried cranberries, almonds, cashews, peanuts, etc... very tasty, satisfies the sweet tooth, and tides me over when I'm hungry. I keep a bag in my purse.

I want food in my face all the time. I am trying to control it by snacking through the day but it's taking everything i have to not grab all the olive garden left overs and eat them.
I have been the same way this week.I am craving salads (with chicken, crutons, and pretty much a whole bag of shredded cheddar cheese) COVERED in about a whole bottle of Kraft Zesty Italian dressing.I think I could just drink the bottle of dressing and be ok LOL.
