I'm hoping to get some information about the midwife group at Illinois Masonic. In particular, what your labor/birthing experience was like with the attending midwife(s) in the hospital.
As a doula I've had both good and bad experiences there. They have wireless monitors for walking around and showers in all the rooms which is nice, though the rooms themselves a little small. There are the two ABC rooms which have a tub for labor, but in my experience they are rarely used due to staffing issues. They do work with an on-call doula program, so if one is available she will be offered to you which is a nice option.
