I am 22 years old and trying to have a baby with my fianc?. We have been together for almost 3 years and actively ttc for about a year and a half. I work in an OBGYN/ pediatricians office so im around pregnant ladies and babies daily! I have baby fever to put it lightly. I was on birth control from October to January of this past year to regulate my periods. On may 2 2012 I had a hysteroscopy d&c to remove a couple of polyps my obgyn found. I recently got the go ahead from her to try again. I am 5dpo (I think?) and I am feeling twinges and very mild cramping. No spotting. Creamy like CM. at first I thought it was all in my head but I feel very different this month. Has anyone ever felt symptoms this early? Am I losing my mind? Please give me some advice!!!
Re: 22yo ttc
Implantation typically occurs between 6 and 12 DPO. You wouldn't notice pregnancy symptoms before then, because you wouldn't be pregnant. I typically have "pregnancy symptoms" (which, if you haven't noticed, are almost all the same as PMS symptoms) with every cycle. However, I had absolutely no symptoms the two cycles I got BFPs.
My advice? Check out fertilityfriend.com and learn to chart and temp. It'll give you some level of control over the process and keep you from obsessing over every little twinge in the 2WW.
BFP #1 9/7/10, EDD 5/14/11, Violet born 5/27/11.
BFP #2 4/9/12, EDD 12/16/12, M/C Rory 4/24/12.
BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
Welcome to the board!
If you are 5dpo, it is too early for pregnancy symptoms. Unless you are charting your temps, there is no way to know exactly when you ovulated, though.
PMS symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms are very similar. Also, when you are actively TTC, it is easy to notice little things and hope they are symptoms of pregnancy. I was never more sure that I was pregnant than the first few months of trying (I wasn't pregnant).
Good luck to you!
