CD 3 results back...feeling really sad

So I had my bloodwork done.

FSH 13.5, Estrodiol 55, LH 6.34, TSH 1.49, Progest .4

Feeling really sad and discouraged about the FSH.  I new something was wrong with me.  DH is away for the night.  Trying not to google becuase that only makes me feel worse.  HSG on Friday.  I guess they will talk to me about it then, but Im thinking I will need to call them mostly becuase I need to hear thier take on it.

I know about high FSH and being sad. But I noticed in your siggy that you just stopped BC?  Is this your first cycle off of it?  That can make FSH look high because your body is trying to wake up the ovaries to start making follicles. I would retest it again next cyle or so because it may not be a true reading and you're getting upset when you don't need to be.

I agree with McIrish - I would have more testing done in another cycle or two. I would also have your AMH tested, and next CD3 have an u/s for an antral follicle count.

I felt like I was hit with a ton of bricks when I got my bad labs (in siggy). You aren't alone, and this is an awesome group of women for knowledge and support. Best of luck.

Sorry for misreading your siggy.  Dr. Google will just make you want to cut your throat. Stay off it.  All is not lost because you are "young" at 35!   Get your AMH tested and do you know how many antral follies you have on CD2 or 3? You need all three for a better picture. Even with all those, it really comes down to how you respond to meds.  Your egg quality may be fine so even if you are only producing a few follies, it may be all you need to get your baby.    Of course there are also the natural "high FSH" babies!  I have seen a bunch in my time here (see JB2RN's post above, she ended up KU'd before starting any drugs).    Hang in there. DOR is a tough DX but plenty of women find success.

Thank you ladies so much. I am feeling better today but literally had a breakdown yesterday. And it didn't help that DH was away, he's really good at keeping me sane.   He texted me "Stress is not helping our quest".  I should probably wait until I talk to the RE before planing my life without children. Thanks again

So Sorry! I just got the same results 2 weeks ago My FSH was 16. I googled everything imagineable and it made things worse UNTIL I came across this book called Making Babies. Its an amazing book and read.  I highly rec'd it for nothing else but for you to see it can still happen one way or another. It gave me piece of mind and made me feel empowered, which is what I lost when the Dr gave me the news.  It gives you things to try and herbs are suggested. For me, doing/trying something is good for my sanity

Hi. Just wanted you to know you are not alone. I found out last week that my fsh was 23:(. I was shocked and am also feeling devastated and hopeless.  I figured something was up, but assumed it would be something we could work with.  I am not sure what I'm going to do now.
