How/when will they date my pregnancy?

Because I got pregnant after a m/c and AF never returned, I don't know if I am 2 weeks or 4.5 weeks pregnant or more. Anyhow, how will my OB office date my pregnancy?

Is it based off of blood work? a vaginal u/s? a belly u/s? 

My first appointment is at what they are guesstimating to be 8 weeks.

My dr is doing a trans vaginal ultrasound Thursday for dating, when I'll be just about 8 weeks.

For me, it was based on a vaginal u/s and fetal size charts. GL!!

They should do betas first in order to know when it's appropriate to have an ultrasound

I just had a regular u/s a few weeks ago. That's how they dated it.

Mine was guesstimated by bloodwork and then an U/S was scheduled for two weeks later.My U/S is next week and I can't wait to pinpoint where we are in the pregnancy!
