Am I rude?

I have a friend that constantly forwards e-mails that just aren't true. I continue to correct her, but she still sends them anyway. I have never told her to stop because she's a dear friend, but it gets a bit annoying. I recently corrected her yet again and her reply was "well this just goes to show that no one is perfect." I never reply all, but reply only to her because I don't want to call her out in front of others but would like her to think before she sends. Am I being rude and should I just tell her to stop?

Either ask her not to send you her forwards, or don't open them.

Is she forwarding those silly forwards? Cause, then I think you are being rude. Forwards are not meant to be taken seriously, they are meant to entertain.

If she is forwarding some other type of email, I would need more info before answering.

Personally I "reply all" to those kind of emails with a snopes.com link.  If she is passing around false info it would be pretty ridiculous of her to be pissed that you let her know she was wrong. Who wants to be wrong all the time?

They're usually political or spiritual. The latest was the creation of our dollar. (u.s.) Half of the stuff in it wasn't true. Like it said their were 13 signers to the declaration of independence when their were in fact 56. You know, stuff that can be easily found out to be true or false.

Just ask her to stop sending you forwards.  I don't see the big deal.

My uncle constantly sends our crap and this is what I do too. It stoped really quickly after a few snopes emails replied to all

I do it too,because omg how hard is it to snopes something? I think it's rude of her to forward bad information.  

You could just tell her "hey, you come off an unintelligent when you forward garbage emails, maybe you should snopes something before you send it to all your friends"

The above is probably why I have few friends, Im entirely too direct and blunt. Lol

 

I've already done this in a nice manner. It stopped for awhile, then she admitted that she just doesn't check or would answer that I'm just so smart and she should listen to me. 

I will NOT reply to all of her friends that she sent it to, it's none of my business who she decides to forward stuff to and I think that is rude and obnoxious whether the information is false or not. I have linked the snopes links in the past as well.

Meh, this doesn't seem important enough to me to bother with correcting her.  If everything is along these lines then I would say just ignore the emails.
