All of gfs who have already had kids told me that DS will grow out of his infant seat length wise before weight. I havent switched yet, but I know its just a waiting game.
We are switching as soon as he can support himself sitting up on his own. That way I can put him in the top of the grocery cart. We are getting close. Until then, I'll stick with the infant seat so that I can take him into stores with me easily.

Im going to miss doing that. I have a grocery cart cover and it works well for a long trip like that, but short trips to the drug store and no infant carrier, ugh.
We were going to transition when DD starts daycare in a month, but were advised by a certified car seat specialist that it is better for her to be 20 lb so we will wait a little longer. I'm thinking it will also work well because Britax will be releasing their new models in the fall or early winter.

We will be switching in the next few weeks. While I love the convenience of the snap & go with the infant seat, my arms beg to differ and it is way too heavy to carry.
Our car seat will hold up to 35lbs so we will go as long as possible especially with the heat here. It takes so long to cool down the car and car seat and right now B is perfectly happy in the infant seat so we will ride it out. We have 1 convertable already purchased so we can change over as soon as needed but if we can make it through most of the heat of summer it will be much better for all of us.

After 6 years of failed cycles, we were blessed with our little man through adoption.
