DH and I used sposies with our son and are strongly considering using cloth diapers with this next one. I am pretty sure I like the kind where you put the liner in the diaper and don't have to change the whole diaper (like with bum genius) every time. Although, we really do like the AIO option of BG. A local boutique has a cloth diapering 101 class that I can go to for 25 bucks, or I could just resource online and spend that money on diapers....any good websites that i can start with? Do you ladies have some quick and dirty advice, recommendations? I don't even care if they are long winded, just looking for something to start on! Thanks!
Re: Where to start?!
Hi I'm not going to be that much help, but my husband and I just went to a CD 101 class yesterday. Ours was free (offerred by a free-standing birthing center), and I thought it was soooo helpful! We learend a lot - granted we new very little going in! Not only did they show us multiple types of CDs, the 3 "instructors" shared what they thought were the pros/cons of each and lots of tips. I thought the best advice they gave was it doesn't have to be all or nothing (you can start slow just saying you'll do 5 CDs a day, or 2 days a week you will only use CDs...), and that lots of people end up getting a modge-podge of the different types - inserts, covers, etc. can be pretty universal - even the trifolds can be folded and used as inserts. So instead of buying a whole system, you can slowly acquire more.
My neighbor also shared a few websites for re-sale CDs - not sure if you want to go that route or not, but I'll include them.

Save the 25 bucks for that class (that's one Bumgenius diaper - !!
There are tons of youtube videos about the basics of CDing.
I myself LOVE LOVE LOVE Bumgenius diapers. I am getting a couple of prefolds because they're cheap and we'll use them if our laundry's backed up. Seriously though BGs are awesome. A lot of online retailers ATM are having a buy 5 get 1 free sale too. I've been taking advantage of this to stock up.
Also you'll want to look into cloth wipes and whether it's right for you!
