I have had PB & Honey sandwiches, and use honey in tea. The only thing I've heard about honey is that you shouldn't give it to a child under one because of botulism.
I am not huge honey fan but I am pretty sure I heard it was fine as long as it was pasteurized, which it would be at the grocery store. I think you would only have to be concerned if you ate honey from a local bee farm or something... that had not been processed. I have eaten some here and there but I am not the kind of person who pours honey on or in a lot of foods. If you like it a lot and consume it frequently you might want to ask your doc.
When I got sick I asked my doc, because generally I would put honey in my tea. She suggested I avoid it, but she admitted she wasn't sure if it would be bad but better to be safe.
Honey is safe while pregnant. Make sure it is pasteurized and comes in a sealed container, like the little bear containers and you will be fine.
Honey can be potentially dangerous to babies though. Their bodies cannot process it so it is unsafe until they turn 1. While you are pregnant and even nursing though you can have honey on whatever you want
I have been eating raw honey for about 2 years now. I have a jar in the cupboard as I am writing this and have been using it before I found out I was pregnant. I've even use it in my RRLT. I have googled it and there are many schools of thought. "Used it for years through all pregnancies, never used it, will use it again after baby is born", and the list goes on. I don't use the "honeybear" honey because anything that was in it of any value has been filtered out. It is no better than fructose or sugar syrup. I have to make every thing I put in my mouth count because of diabetes. So for me real honey and maple syrup, stevia and xylitol are my choices for sweeteners. I choose to use these though in smaller amounts. I can't stomach artificial sweeteners.
I don't know if this helps you or not, but I am interested in others thoughts and experiences.

Jodi
I have honey quite often. I just make sure that it's been pasturized.
