NBR: Need to vent about my FIL

Last year, he swore to God he was taking care of his pool.  He lied to all of us, saying he was testing the water, using the correct chemicals, etc.  We believed him and all went in.  DS had the worst reaction- the son on his face was almost bleeding, he had what appeared to be welts everywhere, VERY bad.  I swore on my life that I'd never bring him in that pool again.  (We secretly took the water to a pool place to be tested and they were horrified.  I was told, and I quote, "Please tell me nobody has been in this water!"  Well, that about did it.)  I flipped out, called him every name in the book for doing this to my child, and was just plain furious.

 He opened the pool yesterday and swears that as of this morning, the pool is ready.  How could it be ready in less than 24 hours??  And I refuse to let my son go in that water.  I don't care how clean it LOOKS.... I have no idea what he did or what the chemical level is like.

UGHHHH why do people have to be  jerks?  Just tell me the truth.... If you have no desire to take care of the water, tell us and someone else will do it!!!!

Is your FIL a psycho? How could he subject his grandson to harm? Did he feel bad at all when this happened? Awful.

Psycho doesn't even begin to describe him. He said he had no idea that water could harm someone, because it's just water. What an a-hole he is.
