AF after failed IVF?

So, as I posted recently, my IVF cycle was cancelled prior to transfer...I stopped all E/P suppositories the same day and now am waiting for AF to arrive.  

2 questions for the ladies who have been through this...

1- how long did it take for you to see AF after all was said and done?

2- how nasty a cycle should I be expecting? I'm afraid it's going to be intense!

3 Clomid IUIs -- BFNs
IVF #1 never made it to transfer
On "egg health" cocktail DHEA/CoQ10/FRC/Pregnitude/Melatonin
Starting IVF #2 for Feb 2013
Follistim/Menopur/Ganirelix
Cancelled mid-cycle due to high P4 levels early on.
OCPs again for IVF 2.5 mid-March. IVF 2.5 transferred two "gorgeous" 5-day blasts and BFFN. Even REI is baffled
On indefinite hold until a huge stroke of serendipity led me to IVF 3 May 2014
Testing found positive cardiolipins/APS, now on lovenox and intralipid infusions
Transfer of 2 5-day blasts and (FINALLY) BFFP!! 1st ultrasound shows two sacs and two HB, but one is sluggish, almost expecting vanishing twin Subsequent ultrasound confirmed vanishing twin, but my other Little critter looks fantastic!

    I started spotting the day I got the results of my beta which was 16 days after retirieval.  Full flow started late the following day.  It was definitely a heavier flow than I typically have.  I bled through a tampon twice and I don't typically have that happen.
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
    IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
    Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

    I'm only 9 days post retrieval now, but since I stopped using all the meds, I'm thinking it might come a little sooner...in all this process I never thought I'd be sooo looking forward to getting my period! But I'm feeling so uncomfortable and my boobs are huge and sore with no pregnancy to show for it, so I'm looking forward to feeling a little more normal :( 

    I'm figuring it will be heavier...thanks for the info!

    I started spotting the morning of beta, 3dp3dt.  I don't really remember how bad it was, I think I blocked those next few days out of my mind.

     However, my cycle was screwed up for the next few months.  I am very regular 30 day cycle, and the next 2 cycles were 35-36 days. 

    TTC since 2008. I'm 30/DH 32. Unexplained Infertility.

    Unmedicated IUI: 9/11 BFN

    1st IVF: January 2012. BCP, Lupron, Menopur, Gonal-F
    7 eggs retrieved, 5 mature, 3 fertilized, 3dt 2 grade A embryos.
    Beta 13dp3dt = 6. Beta 16dp3dt = 9. Chemical Pregnancy.

    2nd IVF: Antagonist Protocol. June 2012
    BCP, Ganirelix, Menopur, Gonal-F
    18 eggs retrieved (6/25), 12 mature, 6 fertilized

    BFP! Singleton due 3/18/13!

    I did not have a transfer after IVF#3 as I did not have any embryos. I didn't take P4 afterwards since there was no reason to.   AF showed up exactly 14 days after the ER.   I don't remember it being particularly worse than a regular period.  My periods following the other IVFs where I was on p4 for 2 weeks were worse.  Hope it isn't bad for you.

    TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
    DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
    DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

    With my first IVF cycle I did not make it to ET and stopped taking estrogen and Endometrium two days after ER. I would say it was about 8 days after stopping that my period started. It was definitely heavier than usual and the cramps were more intense.

    IVF with ICSI #2: ER 5/17 (4 ER/4 Mature/3 Fertilized)/ET 5/20 (2 embryos transferred)-BFN 
    IVF with PICSI #3: ER 9/8 (11 ER/8 Mature/7 Fertilized)/ET 9/13 (2 AA blastocysts transferred) 
    Beta#1, 9/26/12: 719 Beta#2, 9/28/12: 1,436 Beta#3, 10/1/12: 3,446
    1st u/s on 10/10/12: It's Twins! We found out on 12/16/12 that we were having two BOYS!
    C & D were born on 5/16/13 at 10:46 am and 10:47 am

    After both my BFNs (IVF #1, and FET #1) AF was horrible for me. It came both times exactly 3 days after stopping the progesterone and estrogen support. I had insane cramps and really heavy flow. ((hugs)) so sorry you are going through this!

    Dx: DH - Azoo, Me - Mild PCOS
    DH - sperm found! Seems to produce only for a few days every 70 days!
    Over 1 million in cryo in 15 vials over 6 samples
    IVF #1 - 1 beautiful expanded blast transferred, 4 snowbabies - beta #1 11/30/11 = BFFN
    FET #1, transfered 2 embies 2/16/12 = BFFN; 1 snowbaby left in cryo
    IVF #2 + CGH = 4 genetically normal embies on ice. FET September 26th
    SAIF/PAIF always welcome

    Mine was cancelled before ER or ET and I got my period 6 days after stopping stims (10 days early). It was very heavy for about 24h and then essentially stopped. Normally I'm a 5 day girl. Since then, my cycles have been >30d long instead of my usual 26/27days. It wasn't super intense, just took me by surprise. It REALLY helped get rid of the pelvic bloat and breast tenderness.

    Thanks ladies! I've been feeling a little crampier today so I'm thinking may be soon...

    My ER was Friday may 25 we were hoping for a day 6 transfer after PGD but couldn't do ET so I stopped prog. On day6 which was Thursday may 31. I got my period Wednesday June 6 one week later. Period came 12 days after ER. It was only a little heavier on day 1. Wasn't more painful or anything...GL
    TTC#1 
    BFP 2/14/11, missed m/c 9 weeks. d&e 3/24/11
    BFP 12/10/11 d&e at 13wk+4days 2/17/12
    Dx with Balanced Robertsonian Translocation (13;14) moving on to IVF w/ PGD
    IVF #1 (May 2012) 13R, 10F, 5 blasts, ONE NORMAL frozen no transfer
    IVF #2 (July 2012) 17R, 8F, 5  blasts, ONE NORMAL 6dt on 7/12/2012- c/p
