Hey all, I'm a little confused, why can't I post here? I'm on an iPhone and maybe there are rules I'm missing, but I think I definitely qualify as an infertility veteran, (I've been dealing with the ups and downs of IF for over 10 years) - is this board for people who have been a veteran of the infertility board itself? (which my iPhone won't let me access) or for people who have been at this for years...
Anyway I don't want to barge in on your board if I don't belong here. I just didn't get that warm and fuzzy feeling I usually get when I join an IF board. Especially today, after I found out my IVF attempt just failed. :-(((
I wish you all the best of luck pursuing your dreams...
Re: Just a question-
I am so sorry your IVF failed. the IVF bfn is always incredibly painful.
The IF board is for anyone struggling with infertility.
The Infertility veterans board is for those of us who have been active participants of the IF board and are still here. It is our refuge from the constant flow in and out on the IF board. Feel free to participate on the IF board, they will be more than welcoming. GL with your continued journey and ((hugs)) for the IVF failure.

Thank you thank you! I was all confused, and I know EXACTLY what it feels like to need a 'safe haven'- I used to be an ivillage boardie 10 years ago, and left for that very reason. They changed the format and I'm still very good friends with a bunch of those ladies. Also, it was getting old to spend so much time answering newbies questions and hoping they'd stick around, just to have them join and leave after they got the answer to their question- and they NEVER updated with their results! Ugh!
Anyway GL to you and thanks for the info!
I'm sorry about your failed cycle. Hugs.
Ditto the pp. You'll see a number of regular IFV posters who also post on IF. Also, the IF board is more active generally speaking. You should get lots of good support there. Thanks for being so considerate and asking about the IFV/IF board dynamic. It's not meant to be exclusive but truly does serve an important purpose. Sounds like you had a similar experience with i.vill.age. Best of luck.

Awww thanks ladies. I don't know if this is going to reassure you or not, but back when I was on the ivillage boards, of all of the women I was friends with, EVERY SINGLE ONE of them were successful, and quite a few of them thought it would never happen for them. Only one adopted- and later had a surprise pregnancy of her own, one DH had testicular sperm aspiration and they were able to fertilize three eggs with the whopping FIVE sperm they found, and she became pregnant with triplets! One went through many IVF cycles and on her sixth try, transferred 4 very low quality embies and became pregnant with twins, then had a natural pregnancy of her own! One had a crazy high FSH in her mid twenties and had a natural pregnancy.
There are probably 15 of them that I remain friends with, and they all finally achieved their dream- I hope me saying that doesn't offend anyone, I was trying to give you hope! :-). Over to the IV board I go..... Good luck!!!!
I understand your intention, but unfortunately other peoples stories really don't mean a lot to me. It is nice to have people to talk to who have been through it, but just because someone else got KU no matter how hard their journey doesn't mean I will.
