Spaghetti....

Hi,

I am curious as to what you ladies would do.  I made a ton of spaghetti and will have to freeze it or throw it out.  Would you grind it up and serve to baby when they start eating meats etc?  I was looking at the food in the baby isle and they do meal type dishes.  I am making his baby food so thought this would be easy.  I will not make it a puree, but more chunky if that makes sense.

Thanks!

Re: Spaghetti....

  • I usually save it for a Friday night or weekend meal and use it with chicken/eggplant parm or even do baked spaghetti.  I don't know how well spaghetti freezes or keeps in the freezer.  I would honestly just use it in a meal this weekend.  Even if its just reheating and mixing it with olive oil and herbs or vegetables.

  • I've frozen spaghetti before, in single size portions, put it in a plastic bag, and then taken it to work for lunch.  By the time lunch rolls around, it's mostly thawed, so I just dump it in a bowl and heat it up.

I figured if they have frozen spaghetti in those frozen box lunches in the grocery store, then I can certainly freeze my own... and with less sodium!  Smile

  • I put extra spaghetti in a baking dish and cover it with shredded cheese for a quick pasta bake another night.  It freezes well like that.
