Late Term and Child Loss

Pregnant after late loss board?

I might be missing something but I was wondering if there was such a board?  Or would the bump create one?

I don't mean to step on any toes but going on to the pregnant after loss board is not what I need.  Most woman there have had miscarriages.  Have a stillbirth is VERY different and each needs a different types of support.  Just wondering if anyone else feels that way?

  • I kind of feel that way too and the subject came up before but I don't think they will be adding a board like that.

If I have a question for late loss moms I usually just put that in the title. The ladies it applies to comment and I feel good doing that. I think the board is helping me with being pgal.

Yes it has been discussed, but the bump gods say there wouldn't be enough interest.  There is a weekly check in here on this board (it was yesterday) for those who are expecting their rainbow baby and you can gear your questions towards late loss mommas on the Pgal board as well.  We are here to support you!

  • I think they decided no.  That is one of the reasons NICE does a Pgall post weekly.

I know that there are ALOT of LOSS mamas on PGAL right now though.

She's right, there are a ton of us late loss mamas on the PGAL board, so generally if you post a question that's more specific to a still birth or late loss you will get support from those who've been there.  Otherwise, like Heather said you can always just put a "rainbow pregnancy" warning and post a question here.  It's a scary journey and we all need all the support we can get.

This.  There are definitely a lot of different challenges to being pg after a late loss, but there are lots of women right now on PGAL who have had late losses and they get it.

  • Im not pregnant again, and probably wont be for a while, but I have lurked on pgal just to see how other women are handling it.  But honestly the only posts Im drawn to read are the ones that state they are late loss specific.  I have so much anxiety about pregnancy now, I'm sure only a late loss mom could relate that there is no safe zone now.  Forget getting through the 1st trimester, you still have 2 more and no guarantee you'll bring that baby home.

  • Luckily, I think there isn't enough of us to support the need for a board from tb's point of view. I hope it stays that way although I love the idea....
