I have a question already! I have a 12 1/2 month old that i still nurse, and hadn't considered weaning yet but......this is my question.
Haven't really introduced WCM or any other kind of milk; Should I start? I mean what if the taste changes and weans himself, what if i am sore? I'm ok with the thought of tandem nursing(at least i think so now...lol). Should i be concerned?
Re: BFP
I think your question is that you got a big fat positive and you're wondering how that will impact your nursing relationship with your older child. Is that correct?
If so... congratulations! It's really up to you on how to handle the situation. If you want to wean now you can, if you want to keep breastfeeding that's fine too. Just make sure you're taking in enough calories to support both the pregnancy and the nursing you're doing. Your body will take from your supply and you before it takes from supporting the pregnancy so if you notice a supply hit, double check how much you're eating and make sure it's enough. (Your supply may take a hit anyway.)
If he weans himself, he's at an age where that would be just fine. It might be a sad day for you, but them deciding they are done is technically the ideal way to wean!
Good luck!
