Hi Veterans,
I thought you ladies might know the answer. So, I plan on doing an FET again. Long story short, my nurse misinformed me and told me to cycle this month with estrace/prometrium...when I was IN FACT supposed to do the FET this month. So obviously since I'm on prometrium+estrace...I can't go through with the FET since I'm already on day6 of prometrium.
Well, anyways, it was a misunderstanding on both of our parts (but mostly her fault).
So, now I've been on estradiol 4mg for about 3w, and prometrium capsules orally for 6 days. I'm wonder if I can stop the prometrium a few days early..instead of go through with the full 10 days. The reason is....I want AF to be here already so I can start with the FET protocol. Would it be that bad if I didn't take the full 10 days of prometrium? Wouldn't I still get AF once I stopped all the meds?
Typically they give you the estrace, and then days 15-25 you take progesterone...as it mimics the hormones in a cycle. Some clinics do days 12-22, others 14-24, etc etc.
Re: Q about inducing a period
Please post general questions on the IF board or 2IF. That being said, any changes to your protocol or medications should come from your REs office. They're paid to give you medical advice and may have specific thoughts about your upcoming calendar and are best able to address your request. Good luck.
