Trouble TTC

Testing out Trigger

Hey ladies,

So this is my first cycle with a trigger. I know the trigger can last different amounts for different people.

I was just wondering when you started testing out your trigger.

 TIA!

Re: Testing out Trigger

  • I only did it once to know how long before it was out and I started the day after IUI.

  • This is my first cycle with a trigger too! I held out until 7dpiui to test for the trigger.. partially because I was scared I would get my hopes up too high if I actually saw a positive (I didn't.) At least now I know that it's out of my system. I tested again on 8dpiui, mostly because I'm obsessing, and it was negative again, so it's definitely out of my system.

  • My first IUI cycle I tested every couple of days from IUI to 12dpIUI (13 days past trigger) and always got a positive.  The second IUI I didn't test until 14 days past trigger (13dpIUI) and also got a faint positive.  Triggers suck. Don't pee!
  • I stat around 9dpo, and get faint positives until around 13dpo. Not sure why I still bother...maybe in the hopes that it will actually get darker?

    I agree with NQB...triggers suck!

    4 IUIs: Bfn
    Antagonist IVF 7 retrieved, 4 fert w/ICSI&AH, 2 blasts transferred. Beta #1 9/20: 367 Beta #2 9/22: 841

  • I got positives through 10 or 11dpiui the first few times, but it became too much of an emotional roller coaster for me to get the positives and then have it turn negative.  So, I stopped testing out the trigger to save my sanity.

  • I have only done it once so far.  Startted testing around 7DPO and kept getting fainter positives each day.  Even tested a super faint positive the day AF arrived.  I will probably do it again next cycle, it didn't upset me.

  • This is my first cycle of testing out a trigger too! I started at one day past trigger to see have a baseline. I tested yesterday and today (6 days past trigger) and it is still faint but still there. I am hoping it is totally gone by the weekend.

  • I started testing the morning after my trigger just out of curiosity. I don't know why but I really got a kick out of seeing that test go from stark white negative to super duper dark overnight. Stick out tongue

I got my last positive at 9dpo (or 11dp trigger).
