China diapers

This was just a thought but I bought some alva diapers a while back but then felt guilty about purchasing them because they were from china. 

A couple of days ago I went to my local diaper store and bought a new grovia to try. It was expensive in my opinion.  When I got home I noticed that the tag said made in china.  Ugh

Just about everything is made in China!  If they are sold in the US, then I would feel more comfortable that they are safe.  The issue is when they are made in China and purchased directly from China, such as AlvaBaby diapers.  When you purchase from alvababy.com it is clear that they come from Shenzhen, this is the heartland of Chinese factories and regulations are not to the US standards, unless they are overseen by a US company.  With companies such as this I would be concerned of toxins such as lead.  But that's just my 2 cents.

Yup. It's hard to find anything that isn't made in China. It can be done, but you have to seek it out and will obviously pay a premium for it. And even harder still to find one made without Chinese produced textiles.
