waxing in the first tri?

So, a special thank you to my prenatal vitamins, but my upper lip is getting a bit hairy. And by a bit, I mean I feel like Chewbacca's long lost sister. My sweet, loving husband actually noticed it. 

That said, I used to get my upper lip waxed once a month or so. Is it ok to still get waxed in the first tri?

During my first pregnancy, I got my "who ha" axed up to 2 weeks before delivery!!!!!

It's fine to keep waxing (if I don't do my eyebrows I look like Groucho Marx) but some women say waxing hurts more during pregnancy but everyone is different.

There is no way in hell you could pay me to do that while pregnant.

What kind of reasoning would anyone think that it's not ok?  Shaving, however, is bad for the baby...
