Oliver-love it or over it?

Have loved the name Oliver for awhile (before it was rising in popularity) and picked it as a middle name for Thomas. But now that a baby boy is a reality, I'm not sure if the rising popularity of the name Oliver bothers me enough not to use it. I don't hear it in real life where I live, but it seems to be all over message boards, including this one a lot. What do you all think?[Poll]

I like it but I wouldn't use it due to popularity. However, since you are thinking of using it as a mn, I wouldn't worry about its popularity as much.

My friend's son is named Oliver, he is the only person I have ever known named that.

I don't think popularity should matter when choosing a MN. It'll rarely be used.

Not a fan. And obviously I don't have a problem with popular names

It's just nms at all and I was really surprised when it started gaining popularity.

My Oliver is in grade school and I picked the name over 20 years ago. It makes me want to vomit how popular it is now. Truly sad sad sad.

I was worried about the popularity rise before choosing it for my son, but ever since have just been so happy we decided not to care about the popularity factor because we just love it for him. And actually as a bonus, we have only met one other Oliver in our neighborhood, so for us it worked out great.
