Swallowed a cherry pit

So I've been snacking on cherries since they went on sale at my grocery store last week. A few minutes ago, I accidentally swallowed one of the cherry pits, and didn't think anything of it because it just went down so easy.

Then the paranoid part of me googled it... apparently cherry pits are dangerous to ingest (in large quantities) but even one can cause apendicitis if it gets lodged in your digestive tract: https://www.livestrong.com/article/552194-can-a-cherry-pit-dissolve-in-the-intestines/

I'm sure I'll be fine, but now I can't help but have nightmares about my appendix for the next 7 weeks. Grrrreat

I myself have never swallowed one, but I've never heard they were dangerous. It will probably pass right on through.
