sucking too hard w/nose frida???

i have the nose frida and i hate using it with my baby but i have got to get that nasty snot out asap!!! however...my husband sucks soooo hard! my daughter already cries just with sticking the nose frida in her nose but when i start sucking she goes nuts. when my husband sucks her snot out her eyes get so huge and i feel like he sucks too hard!!! can you suck too hard with the nose frida?

I love the nose frieda.

I have no idea if you can suck too hard. Maybe he's surprising her by suddenly starting to suck. 

I'd imagine if she's not crying then she probably isn't in pain.

I've wondered this too, but I think about how hard you might blow your nose if you were sick and it was really stuffed up. I for one might blow really hard! I kind of use this as a comparison with the NoseFrida. I'm sure it does feel really weird for the baby but they feel so much better after.

Side note: I found this Saline mister that I used for DS when he was sick and it helped a ton! I hated using saline drops but this was great and DS didn't mind it. I found it at my Walgreens.

I love nose frida and I believe it is less uncomfortable then the bulb one because it doesn't go inside the nostril. I also use the saline mist before using it. My DD doesn't like it too much, but she will let me do it and it won't cry. I believe all babies hate having their noses cleaned...don't think she is in pain. My pedi said I could use it as often as needed (when she had a cold).

For one, the device is not to be inserted in the nostril. Its to be put at an angle outside of the nostril and then sucked out. When you suck really hard, or at all, it feels to them like the wind is being knocked out of them and that they cant take a breath in. You are supposed to do it in intervals, not a consistent suction. Also, using the little noses saline spray before hand really helps! Be careful and be gentle!
