Would anyone object to an occasional PG>35 Grad check-in every once in a while? Like, maybe if you gave birth within the last 9 months you are eligible? (then at least someone on the current board might know you / remember you).
Questions can change each time, but something along the lines of....
1) how old is your LO?
2) Best part of your delivery? Worst part?
3) Best part about life with baby? Worst?
4) Thing you miss most about being PG? Favorite part of no longer being PG?
5) Any words of wisdom to share with the board?
Have a great day everyone!
Re: PG>35 GRADS check-in
1) how old is your LO? My little girl (Evelyn) is 7 weeks and 5 days old!
2) Best part of your delivery? Worst part? Best part was when her head came out, the worst was definitely the second to last push- I was sooo exhausted that I thought she would be stuck where she was and never come out, I told the doctor "I cant do anymore, I think I am done"
3) Best part about life with baby? Worst? Everything seems to be the best, but I especially love waking her up in the morning to nurse. She smiles up at me and seems so exicted to see me, it is very cuddly. the worst is probably rarely getting to eat a warm meal, it never fails that she is hungry or fussy if it is a meal time!
4) Thing you miss most about being PG? Favorite part of no longer being PG? oh I miss feeling her kick, my womb feels all lonely! The best part about no longer being preggers is no more trips to the bathroom at night or maybe its having the ability to eat what ever I want to :-) or that the swelling is gone
5) Any words of wisdom to share with the board? I would say savor every moment of their being small (even the frustrating ones) they grow up so fast, and get a moby wrap it will save your back and it makes the baby happy.
You should post too Saint City!!!!
1) how old is your LO? 4 weeks
2) Best part of your delivery? Worst part? Best part? Everything. I loved it. Great nurses, it was pretty quick, my hospital is so nice - - amazing food, free massages for new mamas, complimentary toiletries and snack baskets. Just so many nice people and lots of nice perks! Worst part? I know this sounds cheesy, but the worst part is knowing that this was my last baby so i won't be doing it again.
3) Best part about life with baby? Worst? Best? Just snuggling with him and looking at him all day. Worst? I miss my 8 hours of sleep! And dealing with an infant and a toddler is challenging!
4) Thing you miss most about being PG? Favorite part of no longer being PG? Miss most? Rubbing my belly and feeling baby moving around. Going to my OB appts with my DD and making a day out of it. We used to do something special after each appt -- mom and daughter lunch dates! On the flip side, its nice to be able to eat things that were off limits while pg.
5) Any words of wisdom to share with the board? enjoy your pregnancy, take lots of belly pics, enjoy your sleep, enjoy time with dh and don't get too hung up on a birth plan. many times our LOs have plans of their own.
has it been 7 weeks already? wow!! I love reading these updates for you "graduates" ... can't wait to be one myself!
58 days to go!!! Your little guy will be here soon and once they are born time just seems to go soooo fast. Have you picked out a name for him? I am a little behind on all of my board updates
Aw, it's a sweet idea. I'm up for it!
1) how old is your LO? 9 days
2) Best part of your delivery? Worst part? Best: it was quick (urgent c-section). Worst: I felt really sick the whole time the epidural was in place.
3) Best part about life with baby? Worst? It's only been 9 days, but Alice is such a sweetie. She is really mellow. The worst was the horrible nipple pain/cracking/bleeding until we got the latch figured out.
4) Thing you miss most about being PG? Favorite part of no longer being PG? There is nothing I miss about being PG. I do not enjoy it.
5) Any words of wisdom to share with the board? Go with the flow. Pregnancy, L&D, and motherhood are full of surprises. You can only plan so much.
