Heart Rate of 185

Yesterday I went in for my 11 week ob appointment and heard the baby's HR for the first time. It was 185. Is that really high? It concerned me I asked the midwife but she said not to worry. It could be becuase it was extremely hot yesterday and I might be dehydrated.

Mine was 189 yesterday, so I asked the tech and my Dr. if that was too high.  They said it was perfectly fine and my baby was incredibly active.  Similar to how when we work out our hear rates increase, when babies move a lot their heart rates increase as well.

Sounds normal to me. DD's was 186 at times. This baby's was 173 on Monday.

My baby's was 184 yesterday.  I thought that was high too because it was higher than it ever was with my first pregnancy, but the Dr. said it was great and that the baby was moving around a TON and that's why it was so high.  Congrats!

I've heard that sometimes if you eat close to your scan that it can cause the babies heart rate to be higher...not sure how true that is but I ate right before mine and the baby was at 165.
