Rhea is a Greek name, and the Greek pronunciation is RAY-uh. That is what I consider to be "correct", but I think enough people in the US pronounce it as REE-uh that it's not going to be thought of as incorrect if you pronounce it that way (though as a pronunciation purist, I would personally consider that incorrect). Plus, REE-uh sounds too much like diarrhea, enough reason alone to pronounce it RAY-uh.

They have different pronunciations because they have different origins. Just because two names have similar spellings doesn't mean they rhyme.
