This has been a fuuun progress. Hubby and I got to the hospital about 10 AM Monday morning, I was having pains so badly it felt like my legs were about to be ripped out of their sockets. They had me in the triage room for about 30 minutes, then admitted me. I finally got the epidural about 2:30 pm (it would have been sooner, but there was a trauma in the ER). Labor pains SUCK, I would't wish them on my worst enemy! Sylvia was born 10/19/12 at 9:10 AM. 8 lbs, 2 oz, 19 inches. When I figure out how to post pictures on here, I will.
I lost a lot of blood, and apparently blacked out a few times. Even smelling salts didn't work! They're keeping me here for another night, to see if I'm going to need a blood transfusion. I'll keep you guys posted!
Re: Sylvia is finally here!
Okay, update: I finally got a blood transfusion, and my body took well to it. I was surprised the doctor didn't tell me I needed one, but I'm pretty sure he recognized the last name and how much of a pill my BIL's girlfriend was (she's trying to sue him because she was stupid and didn't follow directions). Now that I've got blood in me, my color has come back, I'm taking bigger steps, and feeling a lot better. Sleeping better too, the little times that I get to sleep, LOL.
Here's pictures! Sylvia right after she's cleaned off and lying on my stomach:
