Like Maxwell a lot. I love Leo, but it's long forms are still growing on me. Though, I'm sure Leonardo would be adorable on someone else's LO.

Maxwell is a good name.  I like Max.  But I'm annoyed by how many people use it for a dog so I wouldn't use it personally.

Both are fine.  I prefer Leonardo to Maxwell (for some reason Maxwell seems pretentious to me).  I prefer Leonard to Leonardo though, but that is personal preference.

Neither are really my style. I just can't think of "Max" as a person. I know way too many dogs/other pets with this name to ever think it works for a person.
