First Period after C

Hi Everyone.  I stopped BFing about 3 weeks ago and my period is back UGH!  I am having an unusually heavy flow and a my cramping feels a little different than before preg.  Has anyone had this experience?  I'm wondering if the change is related to a C, or just is what it is.

With DD my first period after my c-section was horrible. It was super heavy, I had the worst cramps and just felt over all yucky. I got it back at about 5 months pp. It took about 3 cycles to regulate and then I noticed some small changes. I was regular (never was prior to BC), periods were the same length and heaviness but cramps were not as bad and I had O pain for the first time ever.

this is totally normal.  i got my period 6weeks PP..arrrgggg!!! and that was 4 days after the regular PP bleeding stopped. SUCKED! I saw my dr to make sure I didn't do anything to make myself bleed again...but it was my period!! and it was horrible!!! I took 3ibprofins every 6hrs the first day to help control the heavy flow and cramping.  my first two periods were really bad....i finally just had normal pre-pregancy period.

My periods post-partum were HORRIBLE. Not sure if it's c-section related though. I've talked fo quite a few other moms with the same issues who have had vaginal births.

I really wish my doctor would have warned me about this. I was not at all prepared for how awful they would be.
