At first I was going to say that yes, it sounds bad. But after I said it a few times aloud, I sort of like it! It sounds like a name out of a Dickens novel - not that that is a bad thing! Just has that ring to it.
I think it's cute.
That's so funny!! I thought the EXACT same thing. It sounds so storybook.

I think that fn and ln are fine as long as you break them up with a mn that doesn't end in 'er'. My husbands fn and ln both end in 'son' but it is not bad and his mn breaks it up too.

I really like Oliver, but not with your last name. I grew up with my fn & ln ending in er and I hated it
The waste in life lies in the love we have not given, the powers we have not used and the selfish prudence that will risk nothing; and which shirking pain, misses happiness as well.

Sounds like a character from a Dickens novel to me too. It NMS, but its definitely not bad.

I love the name Oliver. It's been at the top of my list for years.
I had to say the whole name aloud quite a few times - but I don't think it sounds bad. At first I didn't like the "er" at the end of both names.. but after saying it out loud I realized it's not terrible.
I don't love the double -ers but I do love Oliver. I'm having a similar issue with with my fiance's last name too! I think it is important for you to not only love the first name but love the way they sound together.
Super cute! It goes well because in the name "Oliver" there is so much emphasis on the "O" that you don't hear much of the "-er". Plus "O" is a cute first initial.

His mn will more than likely be Bradley.
So Oliver Bradley Fisher
I agree. NN Ollie Fisher flows well

Lost baby #2 at nearly 12 weeks (D&C on 9/19/14)
BFP 11/09 - DD 7/10 - BFP 8/11 - M/C 9/11 - BFP 6/12 - DD - 2/13
I don't like the double -er ending. Even if you broke it up with a non -er middle name, how often do you say the whole name? Not alot.
I'd try and find something else.
I totally agree!! LOVE IT!
