I know, we don't have kids but you know if we did...
Say you have 2(soon to be 3) kids and are about to go apeshit over the amount of clothing in your house.
This hypothetical ( kids clothing) laundry is done every Friday. How many outfits would you say your kids need (not counting special use items, bathing suites formal outfits)?

Re: CP: How many outfits does a child need
I have enough for at least 2 changes a day plus initial outfit.
Many days when she's home with us we go through up to 4. She loves to climb into her water table when we turn our head, put sand down her shirt, etc.
Plus, I love dressing her, so I may go a little crazy with the clothes. She has 39 dresses for this spring/summer/fall. We're only in June and she's worn all but 5 of them, most of them more than once.

I like to keep two back ups in the diaper bag just in case. Z wore her first outfit for only a couple of hours today. We got her dressed after breakfast and then daddy gave her a sippy cup of milk for lunch and he hadn't put the lid on all the way... oops!

I think this board would say.....
Depends on whether or not they're smocked?
We have a lot of clothes for DD. I have no idea how many. Haven't counted. DH is like, "Does she really need this many clothes?"
It's just that they are all so tiny and cute. And she looks so cute in them.
DS has an obscene amount of clothes. I went through a major retail-therapy phase right before he was born. Honestly, I still buy him clothes almost weekly. He has 3 dresser drawers full of this season's clothes, one that's for the cottage (cooler nights, sweaters, etc) and one that's just pj's. The saddest part is, I've cut back on the amount of clothes he has. I need a baby/toddler clothes intervention.
We have tons. My mom and my best friend are clothes horses, plus she is a smaller size and when she was born everyone bought clothes in 18 months. (I guess they thought no one was buying clothes in the size, so she would have something to grow into.) Needless to say, she is no where NEAR the 18 month size in clothes--most of the time 12 month are still really baggy on her.
I tend to do less outfits and more things that I can just mix 'n match. She is walking now and I can't wait for her to wear more dresses--because they fit her the best. (but when she was crawling they would just tangle up on her knees) With dresses I don't have to worry about them falling off of her.
So yeah, we have a lot!
LOL my daughter has the shirt in your siggy pic!

DS has way too many clothes but that's not on me. My mom and sister are notorious for picking him up a shirt or pants any time they are out. I have bought him a couple of items but not many.
I did end up already stocking up on fall/winter clothing dirt cheap when Target had 70% clothing items. He has plenty to last him for the rest of the year but I'm sure he will get more from my family.
He probably goes through 10-12 outfits weekly.
