Low Heartbeat and a Week off?!?

Hi everyone, so I'm really scared. Last Friday I had an appointment and I was supposed to be 6 weeks 3 days. They did an ultrasound but could only see a yolk sac. So I had a follow up appointment Monday (yesterday) afternoon, and I should have been 6 weeks 5 days. They saw a fetal pole and an itty bitty baby that measured 5 weeks 6 days. They measured the heartbeat and it was only 80-87 bpm. They said maybe my dates were off which I would be okay with but if they were really off a week, I would have had a positive pregnancy test 7 dpo and would have conceived when my husband was out of town (which DIDNT happen lol). So anyway, I am going back in Friday to see if there is growth and a stronger heartbeat but I'm just SOOO nervous. I just had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in February and feel like I'm going to be going through it again. Has anyone else seen a really low heartbeat like that? If so, can you honestly tell me what the outcome is? I just want to be prepared emotionally. Thnkas!

It's completely normal for baby's to measure -/+ 6 days off of your dates. Implantation could of just occured later. GL and Keep us updated.

The same thing happened to me.  I was spotting at 6 weeks and went in, HR was only 82.  They monitored me for the next several weeks and it just kept raising.  As you can see everything turned out just fine.

I agree with this.  And if the doctor and ultrasound technician didn't seem concerned, I wouldn't be either.  Good luck to you!

my original due date was dec 31, but after dating ultrasound, it was moved to jan 6. so its totally normal

My dates weren't off, so I can't speak to that, but this baby's heartbeat was 95 at 5 weeks, 5 days so that seems like a good sign for your baby!

My original due date was December 31st. My dating ultrasound changed it to January 10th. Though I personally wonder if the measurement was off a little on the dating ultrasound.

My friend measured 6 weeks at one of her first appointment. All they could see was the sac and they couldn't hear find the heartbeat. She went back a week later and there was a strong heartbeat and the sac was occupied with a growing baby.

Thanks everyone! I guess my concern isn't so much about being close to a week off as it is with the really low heartbeat. The ultrasound tech did seem concerned. She was the one who diagnosed my miscarriage last time and this time said, "I hope next time I get to see you on better terms..." The Dr. just said that at least there is a heartbeat and it's probably 50/50 at this point.... That's why I'm so nervous. I guess I should have mentioned that in my original post.
