Vacations alone?

Me and LO have been road trippin the last few days seeing friends and family and I'm curious what vacations you have braved alone? Do you enjoy it or is it more stressful? Is it a priority to fit vacation money into the budget? How long do you like to be away? What is your dream vacation to take with your babies?

My daughter is still young but I really want to take her to the Cape for a long weekend. We still take a family vacation with my parents and sisters to the beach for a few days but I would love to be able to take our own little family vaca. It wont be anything huge tho! My parents want to take us to Disney when she is a little older, I cant wait for that I have never been and Im already excited lol.
I made it past my goal I nursed for 1 year and 6 weeks! Im so proud of myself!
I have thought about this a lot lately. Not sure if it will ever be in my budget, but if I can fit one in, I would love to take my little girl on one. I think she would love the beach, so that is what I hope for one day. Not sure what will be harder, the money or the time off. I have to use so much of my vacation for when daycare is closed for a holiday (and my job doesn't give us off for the holiday...which we don't get many)
My parents plan to include us in any of their trips, but with the economy the way it is, they won't be going on any any time soon either.
I am going to start to save, once we get on our feet, and the first trip I am hoping for is a trip to Boston, it is one of my favorite places, and I think little lady will love it too.
We do day trips frequently alone (an hour or 2 away)
..Although all this warm weather has me really itching to take off the the ocean..which is only you know...a 15-16 hour drive from here. Should be cake right?
HAHA. Well as PP said, when we get on our feet/ DS is old enough I can't wait to take him on trips. I love traveling and he seems like he will like doing that kind of stuff too. We have done a little trip, to our ranch about an hour away. Oh and we went to visit AZ (about a 3 hour plane ride, visiting friends but just him and me during the traveling part). That was good. We might go to the beach (stay in a hotel/ beach house, DS is too little for like a real, day, beach trip obviously but when he gets older we will because its only about 50 miles from us) this summer with my family. I also want to take him to the state park when he is of walking age (next summer probably). Disney, to go see Cars land (OMG can't wait...hahaha). Costa Rica- one of my favorite places ever. Panama- always wanted to go there. I could go on and on. New York.
