I looooved the Final Friends series, See You Later, and Remember Me. I wanted to be Shari Cooper, even though she was dead. She had a Ferrari and a hot dead boyfriend.
I read all the CP books at the school library and then the public library. Loved them. I might still have a couple.
Also, RL Stine, Fear Street.

YES! Slumber Party, Remember Me and The Midnight Club were my favorites. I still have most of those. Oh, and The Starlight Crystal. I liked the first Chain Letter, but the sequels were too weird. And Final Friends! Now i want to dig these out. I love mindless reading in the summertime.
I loved Christopher Pike! I had read all of his books by the time I was in 10th grade. I might have to resurrect some of them to read again for old times sake. Didn't he have a really good vampire series too? I can't remember the name.
ETA - Should have read previous posts, The Last Vampire, yes that was awesome!

I totally was just thinking about those books yesterday! I think it was Remember Me where someone was falling off a cliff and someone else literally clawed someones eyes out and the explicit description of the whole ordeal has stuck in my head for almost 20 years. I was cutting grapes, that's what jogged my memory on that situation.
I also made a mental note to look them up on my kindle.

That was "Fall into Darkness". I loved that one and also "Die Softly."
Re: s/o book series--Christopher Pike
Another one I loved.
Does anyone remember Lois Duncan's Stranger with My Face and Summer of Fear?
Yes!! I was borderline obsessed with these in junior high. In fact, I still have most of them and re-read them periodically.
My favorites were Remember Me and See You Later.
Yes on the first! Super creepy. Loved Locked in Time by her, too.

Hell yes, Fear Street was awesome too.
OMG! I read them all... I still have the 3 he wrote for Adults! Sati, Season of Passage and The Cold One
I wanted to name my kid Sati for the longest time!
And who can remember where Chaneen came from? That is one of my interwebs Screen name (no idea why I didn't use it here)
