So I'm waiting.... and waiting. Not due until the 25th, I've had 3 false labors, and now... NOTHING. I had my last day of work last Thursday- I'm going crazy! What are some ideas to pass the time? And if someone says walking I might go crazy. I walk two miles a day, and that doesn't do much besides get my phony contractions going for an hour or two.
So far I've heard: Cleaning, laundering baby clothes, cooking meals to freeze... anyone have any more fun ideas?
Re: For those still waiting... ways to pass time?
I second 50 Shades of Grey. That's what I'm currently doing to distract myself. I think that particular book would normally drive me nuts (it's so poorly written!), but my brain is currently mush and that's about all I can handle
Plus, I'm hoping that it will put a more positive spin on sex for me, which right now, in my current state, is not at all appealing.
Also- cleaning out the pantry. Got rid of tons of random boxed/canned stuff that looked gross or was out of date, and ended up having a whole extra shelf for baby bottles!
My last day of work was May 31 (I am a teacher, and that was the last day of school), so I completely understand running out of things to do!!
Lets see things I have done to try to pass the time...
clean the floors, clean the house in general, organize drawers, go through drawers/closets/etc, laundry laundry laundry laundry, walking, bouncing on the exercise ball, watching boring daytime television :P, running errands (only necessary ones... trying not to really spend money), hanging out by the pool with friends, watching movies, and just relaxing.
I am definitely not a fan of this 'waiting game'. :P At least you have had SOME sign of labor, even if it's false. I've had nothing. At. All.

I made a 'to do list' and basically put everything I see that could be fixed or cleaned on it. Then, I split the list into days. It really helps to wake up each morning and have a task list-- I feel much more productive.
I do second the 'having fun' stuff though!

The thing I wish I had done before my first DD was a haircut and highlights. It was a long time after she was born before I was able to get my hair done. I feel pretty and put-together when I have a fresh style.
