Has anyone flavored Elecare with Elecare Jr Vanilla?

As my last ditch effort to put DD on a hypoallergenic formula, our pedi suggested we try Elecare.From reading tons about it online, I knew it was going to be nasty formula, so I also got the Elecare Jr Vanilla.Lots of moms on Babycenter have mixed the infant with the Jr, following the mixing instructions from the infant container.

My pedi told me I could try this, so I did,I mixed a 4 oz bottle with half infant, half Jr. DD gobbled it down.Then I tried 1.5 scoop infant and 0.5 scoop Jr, that worked as well (with a bit of spit up).

However, the Jr has aspartame, so I'm nervous!!I emailed our pedi but I have not heard back yet.

Has anyone mixed Elecare infant and Jr?

I haven't mixed the Elecare with Elecare Jr., but DS is on Elecare Jr Vanilla. Where did you hear that it has aspartame in it? I don't see it on the label.

Mine has it, it's on the ingredients list (somewhat hidden).

I believe it's a recent change that was made to the formula.

When did you buy yours?

Yes, we had to mix it to get DS to take the regular Elecare when he was younger. We used it as 1/3 of his bottle and slowly decreased the amount until he took the straight Elecare (took about 3 weeks). 

I was not happy about the aspartame either, but honestly, if you're just using it to flavor the formula your LO will get a very small amount, and it's going to make your LO better in the long run to be on Elecare so I'd say it's worth it. HTH.
