Favorite subQ locations? (ticker)

What areas are you using for your subQ shots?  Up until now, I've just used my belly.  However, with 5 shots a day I'm thinking it might help to expand my options.  I'm pretty colorful and it's only day 4 of stims.  Thanks!

I've only done them in my belly.  But I've heard of some ladies doing them in there upper thighs.  I've also heard of some mixing the Follistim with Menopur (not sure what cocktail you're on) and injecting as one.  I ask my RE about this but she had never heard of that, so she was too hesitant to let me.

Hope you find something that works. I bruise easily, so I'm already colorful just from the Lupron.  Can't imagine what it'll be like when I add the other two injections.

I almost always use my belly. I also do Enbrel injections and have type 1 diabetes and wear an insulin pump. Once lupron and stims start I usually wear my insulin pump on my outer thigh and do my Enbrel injections in my legs also. My poor belly :-)

I did most of mine in my belly. DH wanted to try the thigh one morning and that hurt way more than my belly so I never let him do it again. When my mom had to help give me shots a couple of times, she did them on the back of my arms and it was fine.

I've done 99% of my subQ's in my upper thigh. I bruise less, and it's worked fine.

Nice to hear I'm not the only colorful one!  I'd love to consolidate, but I'm on lupron and Follistim (pen) in the mornings and Luveris and Follistim in the evenings, so no opportunities to combine anything.  I guess I brought a little more on myself too because I got smaller Follistim cartridges (300s as opposed to 900s) to save some money which means I generally have to do two shots of Follistim in the evening from two different cartridges.

I did most of in my belly, but them the menopur really started to burn there so I switched to thigh and found it hurt less.

I've only done mine in my belly.  You may want to check with your RE's office.  My RE said to only do them in my belly and not my thighs as they found better results with one of the medications (I don't remember which) when done in the belly.

I've always done belly injects.  Since I'm a poor responder, and on high doses of several meds, I usually do 5 injections/day.  I've found that if I put pressure on the injection site for a minute or so I end up a lot less "colorful".  Never tried the thighs, mostly becuase all the cellulite on them makes it hard to pinch an injection site!

We always did my belly for all of our cycles. 

With our IVF we mixed the follistim and menopur together in order to cut out 1 shot.
