This weekend we celebrated our first wedding anniversary in Bar Harbor. I posted about it before we left on Wednesday. We left on baby Gary's 6 month angenversary and came home on Father's day. Both days were really difficult for me, and Father's day was tough for DH. I gave him his father's day gift the night before so that it wouldn't be rushed with us trying to get out of the B&B and head home. I got him dog tags, one large and one small, with his name and birthday on the big one and baby Gary's on the small one. He did get more emotional than I've seen him since the weeks right after our loss. It's so hard for me to realize sometimes that just because he doesn't show it doesn't mean that he doesn't still hurt just as much as I do.
The two days in between were amazing and really helped us get our minds off of our day to day and back to focusing on each other. I'm going to try to post some pics of the trip, but I've had issues with this in the past so we'll see how it goes. It was so beautiful the pictures just don't capture it. It seemed like everywhere we went that little orange butterfly that always makes me think of my baby boy wasn't far behind. I know that this isn't "him", but it's nice to have something beautiful to remind me of my son.
** Ok... I had issues with the pics (obviously). Anyone know how to do this correctly??
Re: ...and I'm back
I'm so happy you guys had a great anniversary trip! It's so wonderful to have those moments where you feel strong as a couple. They are nice to hold on to through the ups and downs.
I've never posted pics so I can't help you there!
I'm glad you and DH had a nice time!
Pics -- use photobuck or tinypic.com. Upload the photos, resize them (350 x whatever --it usually automatically resizes the 2nd half if you're using photobucket. If you're using tinypic it allows you to choose the size before it officially uploads). One it's uploaded/resized copy the "img" code and paste in your post. The picture will show up ones you've clicked "post."
Hope that helps! Maybe someone else has an easier tutorial?!
I'm so glad you had a great time and you and YH were able to reconnect.
For pics, I use tinypic and choose the option for message boards (it should have a [IMG] attached to it)
