My name is Carrie, I posted here a few months ago after my son Gavin was born at 32 weeks in February. I was diagnosed with IUGR at 31 weeks due to absent/reverse blood flow to the placenta and he was not growing well, and then I suddenly got Pre-E so they made the decision to deliver him via c-section. He spent 40 days in the NICU, mostly uneventful and breathed room air the entire stay thankfully, as I was given steroids the weeks before.
He came home on March 18th and has been keeping us busy ever since! He was only 2 lbs. 9 oz. at birth...I weighed him on our home scale today and he was 10 lbs!
He turned 4 months on June 7th...here is my cutie :-)
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone again, both old and new!
Re: Re-intro!
Aw, congratulations on your sweet Gavin! He is a cutie... what a great smile/laugh he has! Our 29-weeker just turned 4 months yesterday so he and Gavin are close to the same age.
Thanks ladies!
Julia...our little guys really are close! Looks like Jack was only an ounce less than Gavin, and we were also due exactly a month apart...my EDD was April 3rd. And Jack was born on my DH's bday! February is a HUGE bday month in our family...I am also a February baby as is my mom and sister!
I hope your little guy is doing well now!
Peanut Butter and Jelly!

Look at that smile! What a cutie!
Thanks! He actually does have blue eyes...they are just dark blue! :-) Your boys are cute!
Cool! I also just realized that Gavin was born the day I was admitted to the hospital (they thought I might have to deliver then... I was 27w5d so I'm glad I didn't). So they almost had the same birthday, too! Jack is the first February baby in our family, but we've decided we will celebrate his birthday twice every year... his February birthday and his May due date!
Jack is doing great now; thank you! He is 11 pounds now and at church on Sunday, someone actually called him a chunk... I was thrilled! LOL
I am glad they were able to keep him in for a little longer! I was hoping for that with Gavin but he was delivered early the morning after I was admitted due to my Pre-E. We joke that he just wanted to join the February bday 'club' in our family!
Jack does sound like a chunk! That is great :-) Gavin weighed in at 10 pounds yesterday and I was super excited to hit double digits! Due to the IUGR he is smaller for his adjusted age but he is SO big compared to where he was.
