HELP!! I work for a very small company and we do not have maternity leave or short term disability policies. I would only be allotted my vacation days which at a maximum would be 18 days. Does anyone know of any GOOD independent maternity or short term disability coverage plans that would be worth it to invest in? I am currently not pregnant, but I want to get this in place before the pregnancy becomes a pre-existing condition.
Thanks!!

Yeah you may just not be entitled to anything but UNpaid time off work. Sucks but welcome to America. Seriously though, even FMLA doesn't pay you it just gives you 12 weeks unpaid.
My boss was cool and gave me 6 weeks paid and then just agreed to let me stay home an additional 6 weeks (unpaid of course) and that helped a lot. So I agree with another PP start saving your money now!

I am also a PT
And I am finding the same things as you. Just have to start saving!
