Hello ladies!

I just tested this morning with a First Response Early Responder digi test and got a yes! This would be our 2nd pregnancy  (our son is 2 1/2 years old). My husband and I are very excited about this news especially since we've been trying to get pregnant for the past 2 cycles.

Question though... as luck would have it I started spotting a brown discharge a couple hours ago. There is not a lot of it so far. My plan is to not worry about it unless it turns into bright red blood. We are on vacation right now  wbout 15 hrs away from our home (convenient time for this, right?). I was going to call my obgyn tomorrow anyways to set up a first prenatal appt with him and also talk to the staff about the discharge. Can anyone ease my nerves until then? I've heard this can be normal but I guess I just need some reasurrance. Thank you in advance. I really appreciate it!

And yes, I know my siggy needs to be changed!

    Welcome.  Brown spotting is common.  If you're going to be calling your OB/GYN anyway, I would mention it.  I had some brown spotting around 5 weeks and my office told me they don't usually do anything about that unless it is bright red (which I also had later on and was brought in for an ultrasound).  I wouldn't worry too much right now unless things change.  Enjoy your vacation!

    Welcome! Brown spotting isn't usually cause for concern, but it wouldn't hurt to inform your OB. S/he might want to test your HCG and progesterone levels.

    Congrats and welcome! Like others side completely normal to have some light spotting.
