I'm confused-I have always understood that the second trimester went through week 13. That would meant Technically you are still one of us 1st tris until you complete your 13th week. But maybe your ticker is off. Either way, you made it past the biggest hurdles ofthe 1st tri and hopefully will have a great energy-filled 2nd tri! It was my favorite part of pregnancy with DD, and I wish you a great 2nd tri! Hope to join the crowd in July! I could be wrong, but I thought gestational 12 weeks/pregnant 14 th week of pregnancy was 2nd tri. If 2nd tri starts with week 12, I'm closer to it than I thought.

I'm sorry you're confused, so let me clear things up. There are three methods of determining trimesters.
Developmental = goes by developmental stages = 12 weeks
Gestational = arbitrarily divides 40 weeks by 3 = 13w3d
Conception method = divides by 38 weeks = 14w5d.
The first makes most sense in terms of biological development -- and apparently my doctor agrees.
So yeah...I'm in second trimester. Hope that helps.
Re: Moving on!
It depends on the person. I go with the start of the 13th week.
Good luck OP..See you in a few weeks
