What things do you do for yourself?

We all know how crazy our lives are once we become MoMs.  What things do you do to make sure you don't completely lose sight of who you are?  How do you make this work with your spouse?  Share your experiences, ladies!

  • I workout everyday after the kids go to bed. It helps me unwind. I also have Friday mornings to myself - my husband works 4 tens so he has Fridays off - I go hiking and then I go somewhere quiet to study. I'm only gone for a few hours but it's enough for me.

I have no idea how we make our crazy work but somehow it's working!

  • How I plan on making it work is hitting the track near my house after his work/dinner. And taking off to walk around shoppin when I need breaks. When my parents visit grab sleep! Have my husband to a late duty while I do an early one.

  • My husband is great about taking the boys so I can do things on the weekends.  I'm now a SAHM, but I really miss working, so I'm going to start volunteering at our local aquarium a few hours a week.  I'm really looking forward to it.

I also take solo shopping trips after the kids are in bed.  It's nice to wander around Target and not have a hundred people want to talk to me about my babies.

  • I joined my MOMS group that have Mom's Night out every month, I get a babysitter one afternoon every week- I shop, get a manicure, whatever I want to do, I have started back doing the crafts I love- knitting, card making.  I garden when the boys' are napping...

I started running.  It's amazing the things MoMs will do to get a little me time.
  • So far it's returning to running. I have a lofty goal of running another 1/2 marathon at the end of October. H and I are pretty good about letting each other do things.

  • My MIL is amazing and will come a few times a week even just for an hour so I can get out of the house, whether it be to get a mani, run errands or just even go for a quiet drive. My husband work afternoons so I also always run to get my morning starbucks every morning or run some errands and have time to myself
